Our privacy promise
In plain English. Last updated October 17, 2026.
The short version
Sunroom exists so you can share photos with your people, and that's all we use your information for. We don't show ads, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
What we keep
- Your phone number (or the Apple ID email your iPhone texts from), your first name, and your settings.
- The photos, captions and updates you text us, and the private notes you send.
- The texts between you and Sunroom, so the service works and we can fix problems.
What we don't keep
- Your contacts or address book.
- Your location. We strip location data from every photo before it's stored.
- Tracking or advertising cookies. The website uses one cookie, to keep you signed in.
Who can see what
- Your photos: only people who follow you. You can remove any follower in Settings, and they aren't told.
- Your phone number: never shown to other people on Sunroom.
- Notes: only the person they're sent to.
- Your daily link: only opens on your own phone. On any other phone it asks for a code sent to you.
Who helps us run Sunroom
A few companies process your information only so Sunroom can work: Sendblue delivers the texts, Fly.io runs our server in Toronto, Canada, where your photos and data are stored, and Cloudflare manages our web address.
Deleting things
Delete any post from your page, or text UNDO right after posting. To delete everything, go to Settings and tap Delete my account: your posts, photos, follows, notes and texts with us are erased.
Questions
Text FEEDBACK and your question to (786) 795-4069. It goes straight to the person who builds Sunroom, and they'll text you back.
Sunroom is an early beta. If this promise ever changes, we'll text you before it does.
